olombo Metropolitan is proud to partner with Emerge Lanka Foundation (ELF) for Emerge In-person Shelter Programme for Survivors of Trauma, including Sexual Abuse.The program will empower young, institutionalized survivors to break free from the cycle of abuse by equipping them with knowledge on their rights and also help identify their emotions and thoughts, process trauma, learn effective coping strategies in order to regulate themselves and navigate their interpersonal relationships.

As the pandemic and economic crisis hit, Emerge Lanka adopted their programmes to be facilitated online to continue their work. This partnership allows Emerge Lanka to go back into shelters to share the same learning space with their incredible programme participants.
As the pandemic and economic crisis hit, Emerge Lanka adopted their programmes to be facilitated online to continue their work. This partnership allows Emerge Lanka to go back into shelters to share the same learning space with their incredible programme participants.
This means that Emerge Lanka trainers will be able to physically create a safe, dynamic and trauma-sensitive learning space with our girls where they will have access to our curriculum that covers Life Skills, Reproductive Health and Group Therapy.
